Megan Cavallo is a Boston-based healthcare consultant and recent graduate with experience in Pharmacovigilance/Patient Safety and Clinical Research. She has demonstrated a knack for combining business acumen and scientific and medical discipline to provide high-quality support and strategic recommendation for program initiatives for a wide range of therapy areas worldwide.

 

Megan is an Associate Consultant at Fiore Healthcare Advisors. The firm provides clinical research and safety consulting to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies as well as provides oversight for several academic research programs. In this role, Megan is responsible for coordinating services related to client and contractor projects, which includes, but is not limited to, designing and applying applicable project management standards and managing the production of deliverables. Moreover, she is often accountable for with interacting with upper management and project assurance delegates to uphold the strategy and integrity of project initiatives. Megan also has experience assessing business and out-sourcing prospects and fostering collaborations.

 

Megan graduated in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. As an undergraduate, Megan was Supervisor of a Community Outreach Program that supplied opportunities for general skill- development and recreation-oriented activities for individuals with disabilities. In parallel, she was a Milieu Coordinator Assistant at a long-term care facility where she provided clinical management and performance management to staff.

 

Prior to this, Megan participated in a field study in the Amazon Rainforest as a student intern. During this time, she worked directly with the local shamans of Peru to study traditional medicinal paradigms as performed in their authentic ethnic context while comparing and contrasting the employment of natural substances within Aboriginal cultures, modern pharmaceuticals, and herbal medicines. Throughout this experience, she developed a passion for exploring the significance of global healing in today's world of medicine through ethnobotanical approaches to Rx drug innovation.
