Dr. Catherine Zhou is a healthcare professional with demonstrated clinical experience and expertise in pharmacovigilance and public health research. Catherine is dedicated consultant with a passion for enhancing drug safety data quality and improving clients’ drug safety profiles.
Prior to her role at FHA, Dr. Zhou developed expertise in using Oracle Argus Safety, developing ICSRs, coding with MedDRA dictionary, processing AEs/SAEs in both post-marketing and clinical trial settings. She also has experience writing medical narratives and working knowledge of the US and global safety regulatory reporting requirements. Pharmacovigilance combines her medical and public health background into one discipline under which she can contribute to the well-being of a larger population.
Dr. Zhou received her Master degree in Public Health with an Epidemiology concentration from Boston University. She specialized in the design, conduct, and analysis of both epidemiologic study and clinical research. She completed her practicum at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts where she developed further interest in clinical trials. While working at a community health hospital in Quincy, Massachusetts, she focused on preventive medicine and primary healthcare to improve the community’s health and wellness.
Dr. Zhou received her M.D. at the Medical School of Sun Yat-Sen University and she completed her clerkship training at Guangdong General Hospital also in China. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
